A special whitening gel is then placed on your teeth and activated by a special light. Within the hour, your teeth are whitened dramatically. Molds will also be taken of your teeth so that you can touch-up your smile at home. These trays, along with a special whitening solution, is used either overnight for a couple of days or twice a day for 30 minutes to touch-up the whitening results. Tooth sensitivity during the treatment is normal, but it will stop soon after the bleaching has ended.
Your dentist will give your care instructions for your teeth and trays. Additionally, you will be encouraged to visit your dentist regularly in order to maintain a healthy, beautiful, and white smile.
